While I never was a fan of the Vancouver Canucks, I was a fan of Rick Rypien. Because even if he was on a team I hated, it was hard not to notice his determation and sheer will. I really do hope he's in a better place now. Happy Birthday Rick, you'll always be my hero.

Truth be told the smooch came as a little bit of a surprise for Drouin. But, hey, it was OK in the moment. After all, who’s Drouin to rain on anyone’s parade?
